Hi I applied in may 23, app has been with a. Case manager for over 4 weeks
all my supporting info has came from medical records at gp and letters from consultants at hospitals
I uploaded over 30 pages of info and still waiting . Not a complex case at all and just think come on

You say you applied in May 23rd, do you know when it was passed on to a case manager? Have you had a consultation yet with Social Security Scotland?

I also moved this to our PIP section as ADP is the Scottish version.

Hi , it’s been with case manager for over 4 weeks now. Not had one bit of communication from them at all apart from me going on live chat or call
but ridiculous when I’ve given them everything and more

I have read that since they opened ADP applications they received a lot more than expected and still had a very long backlog of several months. To say it's far from ideal would be a massive understatement of course.

Do keep us updated if anything happens, if you need support because ADP is taking so long to be processed I would recommend contacting Citizen's Advice Scotland.

I mean over 4 weeks to be with a. Case manager with all Information at their fingertips
Causing stress . I have neuropathic pain due to surgery 20 years ago on the sole of my foot. And it’s now resulted in permanent nerve damage to foot and lose of feeling in 3/4 toes. Pain is terrible. Can’t even touch the sole of foot. Been on co codomol for 14 years and I’m only 36 years old!! Last year my husband took his own like and I found him hanging . I have a 7 year old little girl. I’m suffering from depression anxiety and PTSD. I’ll be absolutely disgusted if I don’t receive this. I’m struggling daily with mental health and pain . Nothing I’ve been given over the years has helped this
and after seeing orthopaedic surgeon last week he told me he cannot and isn’t willing to operate as this will damage more on foot. Also to be tried with Pregablin to see if this makes a difference. But at this age u don’t think ur going to be dealt these cards eh

So sorry to hear that 😞 It's ridiculous you're going through all this. I think they try to put people off claiming by taking so long. I mean your case seems so straightforward so why the delay. My friend applied in May and was denied by letter after 5 weeks. My doctor surgery is a total nightmare so I'm thinking that's the reason for me waiting 16 weeks for a response. I really hope you find out soon. Keep me posted 🙂

I made my application on 30th March 2023. My latest update was a standard text from PIP telling me my claim in with the assessment team on the 17th August.

My mother later contacted pip for me and I was told by 2 weeks (which is tomorrow) we should chase them up for an update due to the length it’s taken. I called today, zero update and a number for the independent payment assessment team that wouldn’t let you get past the voicemail unless you needed to change an appointment or request additional support/access needs for the appointment.

It’s taking awhile, I’ve just been awarded lcwra, first payment due October, and wondering why pip is taking so long.
I’m hoping the length doesn’t indicate that I won’t be eligible and the reason I haven't been contacted isn’t due to lack of priority, but it’s what I’m beginning to suspect.

For anybody in a similar boat I’ll keep you updated, until then, good luck with your claims🤞💗

Had my assessment 7th Aug had text they received my report on the 9th . Requested my report assessor advised enhanced for both . Had text .we have not yet made a decision Had letter we now have all the information we need to make a decision 3 weeks ago . Still haven't had a decision 🙃

I've had no communication from them whatsoever since May. I called them 4 weeks ago to be told it was still with the assessor or something like that. I only called to make sure they had received it as my friend applied end of April and received a reply after 5 week rejecting her claim. Seems its all a bit of a shambles as they just haven't got the staff to deal what should have been expected ie a high number of applications . Also my Dr's surgery is a total shambles and I've never had a Dr's appointment for a while only nurses so I imagine that could also be the hold up.

Mines going on 5 weeks with a case manager who is still on annual leave and wot. Return until 18th !! So imagine the hold up when she gets back

Wow I mean why should any claim be put on hold because someone is on annual leave? No wonder it's a total shambles. They said it would be a more easier and efficient service in Scotland. Its a bit of a joke.
