I got high rate pip 2022 about 6 months later I heard I could apply excemption so I asked universal credit but I asked if be backdated to when I got pip they said out the date you got pip by mistake I out 2020
So they said out of time 13 months I was not told the error u made so I said from today they repeated our of time I then see what I done and told them the year was wrong but it is now in tribunal with explanation they won't let me have excemption even now forward I don't understand u have to pay

Hi @frogspawn12, I'm really sorry you've been put in this position all because of a simple mistake. Can I just clarify the situation with you if it's okay?
You got PIP in 2022 and 6 months later you asked for bedroom exemption from Universal Credit and wanted it backdated to when you got your PIP. They asked you what date you got PIP and you accidentally put "2020". When you say UC told you "Out of Time" 13 months later what do you exactly mean by that? That they informed you that you weren't getting it backdated at all or they had suddenly realised you didn't get PIP in 2020 but had backdated you? And this situation has now gone to a tribunal?
I just want to clarify the situation so we give you the right advice and support0
