Pip decline in mental health

My renewal form was filled in and sent back back in January this year. In it was stated that there had been some improvement with my mental health (which there was at the time ) but that it still varies. Fast forward to now and I have an appointment for a telephone assessment in a few weeks. My mental health has taken a steep nose dive within that time, I'm worried that the assessor will only go with what on my review form. I feel physically sick with worry.

Hi @debbie123 - please don't worry. It's been some time since you sent back your review form, & you've written that your problems can vary, so it makes sense that your mental health may have worsened since, which you can explain to the assessor.
Any worsening of a condition only won't be taken into account if that should happen after a claimant's assessment.

Indeed, the assessment assess how you are now. Not how you were when you filled in the renewal forms. Perhaps to re-assure yourself you can gather any recent evidence you have to backup this drop in mental health. Whether it's a GP letter or a diary?
