Good evening everyone!
I hope everyone's start to the week.is going well so far!
I wonder if anyone has some advice please?
I have severe osteoarthritis and getting around, coping with everyday tasks is proving to be extremely difficult & pain levels are horrendous.
I was referred to wheelchair services but my nurse phoned me today & said they did not have one suitable for my needs & they also don't have a suitable bath seat, that I'd have to purchase my own. I think because i received a bit of inheritance as lost both parents and they do not want to help me.
I like to be able to have days out with my 2 teens, which are cut very short due to me being unable to walk without pain & at times legs giving way. I'd also like to be more independent and do somethings on my own with friends.
Does anyone have suggestions of a good all terrain wheelchair and where to buy from?
Thank you.

Hiya @DragonFairy48 and welcome to the community!
I'm so sorry to hear they've not been able to help you with a suitable wheelchair, I know how life changing they can be when your legs stop playing nice. I've moved your post to a different section of the community, where hopefully one of our regulars will see it and be able to offer some amazing advice. Do you have someone helping you with day to day activities?
If you would prefer just hiring an off road wheelchair to try out for a bit, I've seen people mentioning Mobility Hire before?

Which bit if the community did you move my conversation to.please?
I am new to this so get a bit muddled sometimes finding my way through these forums!

Hey @DragonFairy48!
No need to apologise at all, new places can be a bit of a maze sometimes, but I like to think we have everything set up for minimal confusion.
Your post is now in the 'aids, adaptations and equipment' category, but you will still get notifications if someone comments.
(Hopefully that link will help a bit!)0 -
It’s not clear what you consider all-terrain wheelchairs, where exactly are you going to move?

This discussion is from September 2023 @egister and the OP has not logged back in since then. So I'd not be expecting a reply. 😉
