Been diagnosed with EUPD, fed up

I've now also been diagnosed with EUPD without the psychiatrist on the NHS even seeing me. She wrote that I should be prescribed low-dose antipsychotic medication in periods of crises.

I've just had enough.

Yep. Apparently a Senior Mental Health practitioner “formulated” my mental health issues as…

EUPD (without being assessed by a psychiatrist)
    ASD (awaiting assessment)
ADHD (I was already diagnosed with this September 22)

I mean maybe they reviewed everything from previous meetings and assessments, like other practitioner notes but I still don't think that sounds correct that they can do that.

Plus ASD and ADHD combined have a lot of similarities to personality disorders. Very strange of them!

    How you feeling about it?
I’m in agreement with you and my GP hasn’t recorded it as a diagnosis either. I’m thinking of putting in a complaint because I feel that is terribly wrong to give a diagnosis without a specialist assessment. As far as I am aware, SMHP’s can’t make diagnoses.

I’m feeling lost, abandoned by the NHS MH services and really low. I’ve read so much on Twitter how they use that label to tell patients to go away basically.

    Hello @bluefox

I'm sorry that you feel your GP hasn't been a support you you. Can I ask, does your GP Practice have multiple doctors under the surgery? Could seeing another for a second opinion be an option?

I also wondered if you thought about reaching out to Mind or Rethink. They may be able to help support with your complaint and give you more information and resources to help?

I’ve lost all my energy. I don’t even feel like putting my PIP review in. I’m completely frozen.

@bluefox I'm so sorry it's left you feeling frozen. Please know the community are here for you <3 Even if you just need a vent! Have you reached out to Citizen's Advice for support with your PIP review?
