Transition over to uc

hi hi on my transition letter it says I need to apply for uc by 06dec but my tax credit payment are until the end jan2024
if I apply will my payments from tax credits stop?
and if I apply for uc am I guaranteed money through the transition protection ?

Your Tax credits will stop on 5th Dec whether you apply or not by the date in the letter. No one is guaranteed Transitional Protection, it will depend on the figures. If the figures say you'll be worse off then they will include TP.
