I am making a claim for PIP. I am currently in receipt of lower rate mobility DLA. I was on ESA support group. I now receive my state pension When my claim is being looked at/assessed are they aware of the previous ESA and current DLA?

Your ESA claim will not be relevant for PIP. Even if they are aware of your current DLA award it’s a completely different benefit to PIP anyway and you can’t really compare them.
When filling out the form make sure you include a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.Make sure you include your name and NI number on everything you send and keep copies for yourself. If successfully awarded PIP your first payment will be about 7 weeks after the decision is made.0 -

I have read that being able to drive a car goes against you when claiming PIP.? I drive an automatic car. I don’t go anywhere other than to the supermarket, a route I am familiar with , due to anxiety issues. I cannot always manage this on my own and need someone with me. I am claiming for both physical and mental health issues.0
