Morning sandy I had 2 discs replaced with titanium rods in 2009. I gave the disabled badge back back thinking I’ll be ok .being self employed you think that way. Since then I lost my wife to cancer in 2019 with 2 teenagers son 14 daughter 16 at the time took time off to look after her misdiagnosed with hyperthyroidism was stomach cancer and was gone in 4 months
took time off went back to work and COVID saw me not working for 2 years spent all our savings had a heart attack 2 stent’s fitted and lately ailments getting me down and hindering me from working have had a terrible 4 years but hello and hope you’re coping well with your disc problem0 -
Hello @Eric70
Welcome to the community!
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your wife, my condolences. Have you got a specialist or consultant to talk to about the pain with your back?0 -
Hi Hannah I haven’t.for years I have just carried on through the pain both my children work with me and I’m planning on doing more of a supervisory role as it’s getting too much0

@eric70 That would be beneficial for you, but I would still encourage you to speak to your specialist or maybe ask your GP to refer you to the pain clinic? To see if there is any additional support there?0
