Hi and thanks. I have a question re LCWRA. On the 21/11 I had a letter through my journal that I qualified for it and to check my statement. My UC is paid the 4th every month but there was no sign of it. I tried to contact DWP and they mentioned the 3 month wait and confirmed that period started in 24/08 when my 1st sick/fit note began but offered no further info. Any idea when I should get something?0

Your waiting period will be Aug to Nov… LCWRA starts from Nov 29th to Dec 28th and first payment will be 4th Jan. No LCWRA element is owed.
This is because the waiting period is 3 full assessment periods from when you provided your first fit note. It’s then paid from the 4th month, with first payment being the end of that month because UC is paid 1 month in arrears.0 -
Thanks Poppy!
Strangely enough I've just had a message in my journal confirming the 4th January as well. I did ask about the backpay because I was under the impression that they paid it from the date of first sick note even though there's the 3 month wait for 1st payment. I'm just happy to get anything tbh. Thanks again. 🙂0
