Light touch review

I've not heard of anyone here having had one yet. There's some information here. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/pip-ar2-light-touch-review-form,-details-and-sample-copyThere's also a sample of the AR2 form here. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/pip-ar2-light-touch-review-form,-details-and-sample-copyThere's been some threads here in the past few months on how to fill out the form. In my personal opinion, it's a light touch review for a reason so if there's been no changes don't fill the form in as if it's a new claim.

Light touch review it may be, but if there have been ANY changes to health or needs etc then you are required to include them on the AR2 irrespective of it being a light touch one.
By saying nothing or entering - 'no changes', you are actually deceiving the DWP if there are changes.

My review is in 32 , so will I be ok until then, as I read they also targeting mental health and neurodiverse people. I have autism. But I also have additional health issues since 2022 when I got my review back. I haven't said any as I didn't want to lose it. I had some joint problems which I did put but since then it's got worse and I.was diagnosed with Joint Hypermobility syndrome and copd.so which form do I need to fill in. I'm 59 this year

You need to report a Change in Circumstances. You can call or write to PIP. You will be sent the PIP 2 (How your disability affects you) form to fill in as a new claim, including your worsening condition. Once sent in it is reviewed.

Personally I would only put a change of circumstances if my claim could go up.
I have got worse since my last review but since I went enhanced rate for both I have not informed them as it would make no difference to my claim, I was

Sorry it won't let me edit
My condition has gotten worse but since I get enhanced on both their is really no point in telling adp or pip.
I have been awarded till 2033 and I don't see any point in informing them unless your payment could go up, just my opinion.
Now if by the grace of God I improved or a miracle drug was invented then I would need to put a change of circumstances because of improvement. I hope I have explained this OK 👍
Basically if you have gotten worse and your already on enhanced rate I would say no need to inform them as it would make no difference to your claim.
Improvement of health then I would say you would need to inform them, hope that makes sense.

I'm unsure why you've given a quote to poppy's comment @Yadnad - I know that normally, like myself, with a review then we both have always said give as much detail as you hopefully did with an initial PIP claim form.
All she was saying was with this AR2 form, the 'light touch review,' then if there haven't been any changes, just say so, as a detailed response shouldn't be needed. Nothing which she said was suggesting that anyone should 'deceive.'
Of the 500+ light touch reviews we know about, all but 3 had their award stay the same (without an assessment); 2 had their award reduced, & one was disallowed.
However, members are concerned about the proposals of an additional criteria being added that you 'may' need to have 4 points in at least one activity in the daily living component, so no-one feels particularly safe.
As you don't have any needs associated with your disability, which you've mentioned elsewhere, then please, of course let the DWP know, as I wouldn't want you to 'deceive.'
Hi @Andi66 - I disagree a little with @Trevor_PIP - you do not have to report a 'Change of circumstances.' Like yourself, I have joint hypermobility (due to having the hypermobile type of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, & I haven't improved with age). You should seek advice before doing so to see if reporting this would actually change/increase your award, otherwise there's no point in doing so. You do not have to report any new diagnosis, nor a worsening of condition. Please seek advice from somewhere like here before doing so:
As Trevor says, you would be sent another claim form to complete, have to go through another assessment, etc. Like everything, 'it all depends,' i.e. on your current award (if you already perhaps have the enhanced rate for a component, which therefore couldn't be increased), etc.
Takes me a long time to write, so was apparently doing so at the same time as @Binky1234 - totally agree with what they've said.

@chiarieds like you I take ages to write hence why I,
99% of the time just linger plus my brain fog makes it hard for me to make sense I know what I want to say just can't always put it into words.

Hope so, tbh I didn't understand why the quote from @Yadnad maybe a mistake.
Personally I have never known Poppy to be wrong, always helpful and nothing to much bother, Poppy has helped myself and so many others and I can't wait to see her back but only once she is fully rested as she really does give it her all.
Originally I thought I had made a mistake and quoted had to take 5 until my brain caught up, and read it again.

As you say @Binky1234 - poppy has never done anything else other than try to help people with their benefits on the forum. I'll let her know what you've said as other members have been missing her too. I know she will appreciate everyone's kind words & they will mean a lot.

@chiarieds that would be wonderful please tell her that I'm sending a virtual hug and please also mention that she 100% spot on in regards to my youngest son and I honestly can't thank her enough, once again much appreciated the kind offer to pass on what I have said, calling a night now night night, take care @chiarieds nice talking to you, like Poppy and so many others you have made me feel welcome thank you, like I say don't post much but linger in background often getting good advice and catch ups, love reading success stories tbh.

Point taken on the Change of Circumstances for Andi66, I was pointing out the process, but agree with what you have said. Again if Andi66 is enhanced on both, not worth progressing a Change in Circumstances either.
