Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing well.. Due to certain reasons i have had a major dispute with my current bank account which is (Monzo) I have until the 24th of January to find and switch accounts as mine closes down on that day.
I suffer from anxiety so was thinking of opening a bank with starling as I can do that all online, does anyone know what time you receive your universal credit and pip payments with starling? Does it have the get paid early feature that monzo does?
Thanks in advance Annie x

Hey @anniej9464, sorry to hear about your trouble with Monzo. Sounds quite serious, have you considered looking into the Financial Ombudsman?
Your payment dates should be exactly the same, as far as I am aware.
Starling does not have an early pay feature, I can answer that!
I hope some of this helped you decide what to do. You can certainly shop around to see the best offers using fair comparison sites.0 -
I don't bank with Starling but after a quick google search Jimm is correct and there's no early payment with them, like there is with your current bank. I don't know of any other bank that offers that.

Thankyou both for your help x x I am due to get paid on the 3rd of January and with the monzo get paid early It means I would have got paid on the 29th of December which would help massively.. without the get paid early il have to wait from the 22nd of Dec to 3rd of January which is along time as my universal credit is only £145 as I get it weekly.. I panic like mad about things and like to know what's going on and have things planned, all this is just un nerving me.. it's silly I know 🙈 .. thanks for your comments x x x1

Do you still have your monzo account until the 24th of January? So you should still be able to get the early pay then?0

woodbine said:We changed baks (after 48 years) to Nationwide recently the day after the swap we got the £200 they are offering, might be worth a look to see if its suitable, all our payments in and out were seamlessly swapped over by the bank0

I'm also used Nationwide's switch service and it was stupidly easy to do. Very glad I did. Many banks do switching services now, so it's worth shopping around to get a good deal.0

Hi when using bank switching services have i got to inform the DWP if my bank account? Or is it allowed with no hazzle from DWP
