Car tax refund

Hi everyone, hope all coping with the holiday season, not joyful for everyone unfortunately.  Mine is a general query about refund of car tax, this morning my husband took car documents to the post office, to claim the car tax exception, achieved via the enhanced mobility award. Log book will be returned in four weeks, but no mention of how money is refunded and when, have checked all the relevant government websites, but no clear information. Can anyone advise please?

DVLA will refund anything that's due back to you. How long this will take is anyone's guess.

Please note, you will be refunded for any full months, not part months.

Yes thanks, only renewed last month, so should get 11 months, just wondered about the timescale.
