New Style ESA and accrued holiday pay

Hello and Happy New Year. I have been claiming new style ESA since Dec 2022 and following assessment I was placed in the Support Group in March 2023. Due to the physical demands of my job I have been unable to return to work throughout this period. My employer has now told me that even though I haven’t been working, I was still accruing holiday pay (something both he and I were ignorant of). So I have recently received a payment from my employer of about £2000. Would any of you lovely, knowledgeable people know how this affects my ESA payments?

As you are not currently working (still employed is not the same as actually working) then the holiday pay will not affect your ESA.If you’re claiming Universal Credit as well then it will affect that in the assessment period in which it’s received.0
