Hi im eligible for uc again due to drop in savings, i had my 1st claimant commitment meeting and only need to attend regular appointments with no other compulsory activities as i have severe mental health issues
My 2nd appointment way forward in the middle of feb got cancelled without an explanation and another one hasn't been booked
They normally book another one straight away. I uploaded a detailed medical letter which i had in preparation for my medical assessment completed by a dr explaining how i really struggle even with attending interviews.
Could this be the reason why my app was cancelled?
My new style esa health assessment questionnaire for my credits only claim is with the assessor but it hasn't been completed yet.
Will my esa be cancelled after a decision is made and the report will be forwarded onto uc instead of having 2 same assessments?
Could dwp made a decision for my esa claim and i haven't received anything?

I'm afraid it's one of those where only they will know and all you can do is phone them in the morning.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

If the ESA50 form is still with the assessors then a decision wouldn't have been made yet. Before a decision is made they will need to write the assessment report and before they do this you may need an assessment. These are mostly done by telephone. Some are also either video or face to face. If you receive an appointment for face to face you can ring the number on the letter and change it to a telephone assessment. You will not need 2 assessments. However, you still need to report your health condition for UC and provide a fit note within 7 days of that. You must then continue to provide fit notes without any gaps until a decision is made on your WCA.As for your appointment for UC if another is needed then they will let you know by uploading an appointment date and time on your journal. If you're unable to attend in person then you can ask for a reasonable adjustment for a telephone appointment. You will be treated as a job seeker until a decision is made on your WCA. It's a work coaches discretion whether they turn off or reduce commiments. Some do and others don't.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
