Help with PIP

Hi all, I’ve been on PIP now for less than a year. I was awarded 3 years but one year was going through a tribunal etc. I have my renewal due in July, but my question is I have been told today by my cardiologist that there is nothing more they can do for me, so my situation will remain the same for the rest of my life and I have to cope with this on tablets. It’s not great news for me but do I need to get proof of this for my renewal? Or so I tell the DWP now?
Many thanks in advance
