Hi guys! Just joined the site today and have a wee query 😊 I have recently returned my UC50 form, roughly 14 January 2024. I know it can take a while before I have word to go for a medical assessment but I had an appointment at the DWP on the 22nd and it had been cancelled I don't have to look for work and another appointment has not been rescheduled. I'm just a bit confused as to why this has happened? Thankyou 😊

Hi @scotgirl10, welcome to the community. We have some lovely members who know so much about UC, so I'll pop your post over to our Universal Credit section where they can find it more easily.
Have you tried asking what's happened on your journal? Sometimes they can help clear things up for you there1 -
Do you mean you had an appointment at your local job centre and it was cancelled? When waiting for a work capability assessment a work coach has discretion to either turn off or reduce commitments, some do and others don’t. Seems like you have an understanding work coach. As for the appointment being rescheduled, it does happen sometimes.0

Hi Poppy....so I had been going for appointments, I had been putting fit notes in since I applied for UC and after I returned my UC50 form my appointment had been cancelled and I'm not sure what's happening. Thankyou for your reply 😊0

Sounds normal to me. Sometimes a work coach will turn off or reduce commitments. Most people have assessments for the work capability assessment before a decision is made.1
