Hello everyone, I have an issue with EDF. I am on electricity only and have just have 24 solar panels fitted 3 months ago but have not seen a reduction in my bill. My installer is not helping me and EDF customer help team are next to useless. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
many thanks,
Markie

Hello @Markie1963
Welcome to the community. I am so sorry you are not getting the help from the fitters or EDF. Scope has their own disability energy support service that may be able to advise. You could also reach out to the energy saving trust.0 -
I believe there is some form of approval that is needed before you can sell power back to the grid so that won't happen straight away but you should be using less electricity which will be reflected on your meter and you will owe less because of that although how long it takes them to change standing orders I don't know. If their customer service is rubbish maybe switch to somewhere like Octopus who have special packages for people with panels with low rates for charging batteries overnight when the weather is poor and good pay in rates for when you produce a surplus.
I have a good friend who uses them and although it took a while to get the necessary certificate to sell the excess has otherwise had a good experience with them and hardly has to pay anything for energy anymore as they have a heat pump for heating and even in the winter they produce a good portion of what they use.0
