I feel sick to the stomach

Sorry, I don't know where to post this or which topic it would come under. I was expecting a phone call from the MH nurse today, but an hour later no phone call. Last week I was expecting a phone call from the Practice Nurse, but no phone call. I assumed then I had the wrong day or she was off work. I thought when the MH nurse rang I would politely ask if had I got the wrong date as I forget appointments all the time if they don't text me with a reminder.
Anyway I decided to ring the GP surgery and I said the MH nurse didn't phone me, they said you're not registered with this practice. I said I was but they said no you're not you moved to a different practice. I said I hadn't moved anywhere, so they said they would ring me back. They rang back and said yep you have moved doctors, to which I said again, no I have not. I have not registered with any other doctor, I haven't even been out of my flat. They told me my files had been sent away, but didn't tell to which doctor or where. I was quite annoyed, I reiterated that I had not moved practice and that perhaps they accidentally transferred my files to which they replied, we cant do that the files would have to be requested.
They are investigating, they haven't rang back yet although its been over an hour. Now I have this awful sick feeling in my stomach that someone might be using my id to register with a doctor and they might be able to access my medical notes via the NHS app. I don't know what to do or who to make a complaint too, but I think its unacceptable that my files and my doctors have been moved with out my knowledge nor consent.

Hello @wkd
I'm so sorry that's happening, I know it must be so stressful but please try not to. Hopefully they'll call back this evening / by first thing in the morning with an answer!
It is awful this has been done without your consent. Which has an information page on making a complaint that I'd encourage you to read.0 -

Can't do a thing about it until tomorrow but I want answers because if someone else is using my name and they use the NHS app they can look at my private medical reports. I haven't had a letter to say the doctor has struck me off, they wouldn't have a reason to do so and even if they had not sent a letter, I would then have to find another doctor. Hmm. I think it has to be a complaint whether I want to or not, it is just not good enough as I am now doctorless.0 -

Im so sorry this has happened to you it’s shocking and I can just imagine how you must feel.
I really hope it gets sorted out. And hope your MH nurse gets in touch with you.
Take care ❤️0 -
@wkd I am so frustrated for you. Have they called back this morning?1

@wkd, a strange happening, hope you hear something soon. In the meantime, you can sign into the NHS app & check if there's anything in your notes. Plus, that is password protected & only you will know that password. Good luck with getting to the bottom of it.

@Hannah_Scope @JessieJ The doctor's surgery rang me and said it might be human error on their side (when I asked they said they couldn't make that error) However, they won't know if it's their error until Monday as the only person who has full access to the systems, the Practice Manager is on holiday and won't be back until then. Hmm. In the meantime, I will have to wait another 4 weeks to talk to the Practice Nurse and the MH nurse as both appointments didn't happen because of this. I will update you when they ring me on Monday.
I hope it's human error and not something else. I won't complain if it is a human error because I wouldn't want to get anyone in trouble I know I have made mistakes myself. I have come to realise that the only time I complain is when people are abusive with their power and sadly I have come across that a lot in the past few years, but I have also seen human kindness as well, like this forum.3 -
So pleased they did call you, @wkd & that it could be (most probably is) an error on their part. Hopefully, because of their mix up, if you tell them you've missed appointments because of it, they will hopefully do the right thing & fit you in quite quickly. At least you can relax & enjoy your weekend, knowing it is being looked into.2

When I first rang my old doctor's surgery they said I made an online registration which they accepted, again my stomach turned thinking it was identity theft, however after looking into it a bit further the Practice Manager then said, that they were clearing out old files and they pressed the Accept button. It was an error on their part, which I can accept, but I hope they don't do it again.0 -
Glad you got all that cleared up you'd think they would of rectified it as soon as they did it.1
