Hi all, hope you can shed some light on this one!
My wife received a letter regarding an increase in her esa.
From 4th October(day b4 I retire) her esa rises from £122.55 to £235.80.
Not much explanation given except a chang in Social Security Rates.
Is my retirement the next day of this increase connected?
Thank you for any assistance.

It will be impossible to advise on such little information. It should give a breakdown in the letter some where of what's included. If it doesn't then she will need to ring them to ask.
The amount at the moment of £122.55/week suggests that there's some deductions for something.1 -
Thank you poppy,my wife gets a reduced payment as I have a former pension coming in from a local govt pension scheme, its the large increase she will be getting from Oct 4th that's puzzling.
Thank you again.0 -
