I applied for carers allowance on 5th October 2023 and still have not recieved any correspondence from them and everytime I ring up to enquire about whats happening they just say they cannot tell me directly themselves and will have someone to contact me and mark it as urgent but still no one has done so.

That's a very long time to wait for a decision. My only advice would be to contact your local MP and tell them what's happened. They will hopefully contact them on your behalf to get the moving. https://www.parliament.uk/get-involved/contact-an-mp-or-lord/contact-your-mp/0
