Hi,I receive the lower rate of pip.im a stroke survivor and also have mobility issues due to a slipped disc(awaiting operation to resolve),I'm constantly hearing I should have contracted my pip award to try for the enhanced payment.after 3 years of getting gradually worse in my health ,can I ask for a re assessment? Is this wise? I need a vehicle or a mobility scooter now and it's the only way I see I can afford it ,can anyone advise??

I meant to say contested my pip award ,auto correct changed it to contracted lol I'm not sure it's wise to push them0

When you report changes you will be sent another form to fill in and return. Another assessment is most likely because most people have them. Once a decision is made your award could either remain the same, be increased or stop completely.
When does your existing award end?0 -
The main question you need to ask yourself is whether you can prove that you can't walk more than 20 metres aided or unaided on the majority of days. That's effectively the criteria for the Enhanced Mobility award. (Unless you also scored points for mentally planning & following a journey.)0
