I still can't believe that money in a business account counts towards savings; I was always told it doesn't.

In your previous thread you said it was wages you were keeping to buy a car. You can’t just keep earnings like this and continue with means tested benefits.

Yes correct gut the job centre told me it does not count when i first joined.

You should never rely on advice from your job centre. When you filled out the forms to apply for UC it does ask what capital you have.
