I am perplexed, doesn’t take much 🤣
How come every site I have visited even Age UK say I can apply for my SP 4 months prior to my Birthday but when I try on the Gov website it informs me it’s too early ? Is it 3 months on the Gov site but 4 months if I ring the pension line ? I can’t figure it out. Thanks for any info 😀

From what I can see on the gov.uk site it appears you can only apply 4 months beforehand if you receive a letter, applying online only opens up 3 months before your State Pension date.
It is rather confusing I agree.1 -
You should receive a letter inviting you to apply when the time comes.1

Hi Poppy and Jimm
thank you both so much for the info. I think it’s confusing too that it says 4 months but then says 3. I knew about the letter but didn’t think it would hinder me applying now, oh well I will wait again 😂😂 I just want it done with haha. Thank you both again, much appreciated x0 -
You need to wait for the letter.0
