Hi iv been waiting nearly a year for my PIp appeal is this the norm ? Also iv sent in more evidence which hopefully will help my case, just wondering could they look at the latest evidence and not ask me to go to the appeal, then award me what I was on before ? Is it also worth phoning the pip appeal number to see when my appeal will be. Thanks Bob.

Heya @bobwilliams65 Waits on appeals are pretty long right now, so a year is pretty normal unfortunately. They'll send you a letter once the appeal date is set, so not to worry there. I'm unsure about the DWP looking at any additional evidence, but sometimes they do call to offer a compromise award. It's rare, but it can happen.

The waiting time for a Tribunal start from when you requested it. I see from a previous thread that you received the MR decision in August last year so that’s less than a year. It’s perfectly normal for you to be waiting 10+ months for a date.

Yes DWP can offer an award at anytime but it’s rare for them to do that so my advice is not to expect it.

I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi all thought I'd give you an update on my appeal. After waiting 13 months for a date for my tribunal, I was told by the Pip inquiry line that I could apply for an urgent hearing. I had never been told about this before. All I had to do was send an email explaining my circumstances and any resent changes to a judge. The Judge then makes a decision on a date. I did this and within a week i received a letter with a tribunal date. Attend my tribunal this week and won.

Just wanted to share this information about the urgent hearing because I, like lots of people probably are not aware of this option. This is the email address if it's any use to anyone.
