So sorry to hear you're feeling you're not a priority @debs53 what seems to be the problem with housing? Anything we can do to support you?

Hi.. my section 21 runs out the 31st may. The homeless from the council said even though I suffer with depression anxiety osteoarthritis vertigo tinnitus suspected fibromyalgia and migraines I'm not a priority. They will auto bid on a property for me and I'll have to take it even if it's a bedsit far away from my family (children) support network. I'm 53 worked all my adult life besides this last 12mths

The price of rentals are ridiculously high. For a 1bed flat they wat £800 plus per month. That's 3/4 of my earnings

An S21 doesn't end. Your landlord can't evict you. The only ones the can evict you is a court. Please do not move out by the 31st May because if you do then they will treat you as intentionally making yourself homeless and then there will be no chance of them helping you.

After 31st May your landlord will need to apply to the court and this can be a lengthy process.

All local authorities have different banding and different ways of bidding. Some do not allow you or anyone else to bid on properties, which I do find rather odd but that's how it is.

Unfortunately, working all your life isn't going to help your situation. I hope you do find someone else soon and yes, I agree that private rentals are through the roof across most of the country.

What Poppy says is true. Do not give up your rental because they will say you have made yourself intentionally homeless and you will be then by yourself. I wish you well….

Thanks all I won't be leaving my property on the 31st.. I truely can't afford another rental.it would be choice between a roof and bills and food.. I know I'm not the only one in this situation, due to the high demand for Housing , rentals are taking advantage of this. Im bidding every week I'm coming as low as 25th out of 125 but have done for past 2months. My disappointment is my banding hasn't and won't change from a 4 (I was a band 4 when I went back on the council 3yrs ago) and they said it won't change even if im here all the way up to when bailiffs come. So what chance have I got.
