Hi, I'm youngPD! Rejected for Disabled Facility Grant, how else can I fund housing adaptations?

Hello dear member,
Hope someone can advise, I am 54 and suffering from Pariknsons since few years, recently my health is deteriorating so I asked for disabled facility grant from local council but my claim has been rejected due to income threshold and we cannot leave the job as we have mortgage to pay and young children to raise and I cannot fund £ 25k to build wheelchair friendly extension on ground floor to have toilet , so please could you advise any other means to raise the fund
Thanks for reading my text

Hi @youngPD, welcome to the community! Sorry to hear about your struggles to get your home adapted. I think your post might get more replies over in our financial support category, so I will move it over there for you. It's nothing you've done wrong, it just means more members can find it and give their advice.
Have you looked into your local Home Improvement Agency? They might be able to help you find some grants or funding that could get your house adapted to your needs, or suggest a way forward for you.
Turn2Us have a grants search that might be of use to you too. I hope our members can offer some more things to try and that you're able to find a solution soon.
