College - EHCP Cease to Maintain
Hello
Can anyone please tell me whether the LA can just cease to maintain a EHCP after an annual review simply because my daughter isn’t able to progress onto level 3. She currently is completing her level 2 in Health & Social Care and apparently the college will somehow find a way to give her a pass in level 2 yet they are saying there’s no progression on to level 3. According to the college this means the LA will cease to maintain her EHCP at this stage. Is this something they LA can do? I thought the whole point of an EHCP is to support the young person in question as they may take longer to complete their chosen course? Any help and advice will greatly be appreciated.
Many thanks
