Hi my current PIP award runs out in September, in February I recited a letter to say I has two weeks to fill in my review paperwork and threatened if I didn’t return it in that 2 weeks my PIp would be stopped. We filled the forms in and sent them back. Three months later I have only had two text messages. Today I received another additional diagnosis so I rang to update my records . I chose the opportunity to ask about the review to be horrified to be told there is a 51 week turn around for reviews, I asked her to repeat it as I thought I had misheard. It didn’t take half that time for the original claim, what on earth are the DWP doing !

Yes, unfortunately, there's extremely long delays for reviews and it's been this way for about 3 years, maybe a little longer. They've been concentrating on new claims for all that time.

We have members here that have been waiting a year after returning their form. I returned mine in November last year and received 2 texts since then. Nothing since early March.

Your PIP award will continue until a decision is made on the review.

Hey there @nblackand welcome to the community.

I can see Poppy is already helping you out, but I wanted to stop in and say a quick hi. 😊

I sent in my PIP review forms back in Feb 2023 and I've just had my assessment, so there's quite a wait at the moment, but as Poppy has said, please remember you'll still get paid your PIP until a new decision is made.

Hey, my experience was, got a text 12 months ago saying my pip review had started, got the form a few days later and sent it back, got a message saying they had the form, around November 23 I got a message saying they were still waiting to review the application, January got another message saying the same, around March I got a letter stating due to delays they will extend pip for a further 12 months, and then in April I got a message stating review was now complete, and around 2 weeks later I received a letter with the new pip award for a further 4 yrs. Hope that gives a little insight as to what you could expect, but as with previous comments, there is a huge delay atm due to new claims. Hope yours goes well 😊
