Pip text

Hiya I've had my tribunal on the 22nd may and been awarded on enhanced on both daily and motability. I called pip om the 29th to see what's happening. Lucky for me apparently they received my appeal papers the day after my tribunal wich is rare and quick. I got transfered to a case manager and she told me that they have a check list to complete before I get backdated like if the dates are correct ect. She asked me if I wanted to go through the questions they normally ask about being in hospital there and then to make the process quicker and I said yes wich is good. She said normally it's takes about 3-5 weeks for the backpayment and I should be on high the next time I get paid in July as it might not be updated by the 11th June. She said ill receive a letter after my backdate. My question is. Will I get a text from dwp saying they have awarded me pip before my backdate? I've already been on pip though but on standard daily living? Or will they just backdate me

The Tribunal send the decision to DWP electronically, which is why they usually receive it quickly. If you already have a PIP award then you will not receive a text to say you've been awarded because you already have an award in payment.
