ESA payment not received today- sick notes

Hi, i was due to be paid my ESA today and it hasn't gone into my bank, i am concerned its to do with sick notes possibly and i have done everything as i have should as far as im aware?

i submit all my sick notes on the website where you can upload for ESA, it's a gov website but not a portal, i always get a text/tick the text notification to say they've received the notes. my first one was submitted along with my first claim from 28th march- 28th April, i then submitted a new sick note 26th April- 25th may, then another 24th may- 7th june. I have contacted my GP surgery today for a new sick note which i should have later today or tomorrow to submit.

however i received a letter from ESA earlier this week saying i need to provide a fit note from 25th may and to 'ignore the letter if you've already sent this' so i did, as i have sent already? i even have text evidence to say we've received your statement of fitness for work on the 24th may. the letter was dated on the 28th but i didn't get it until this week and i thought it was just an old delayed letter, i do have a text to say you've got this so i didn't think i needed to do anything about it?

if anyone could advise if this is correct and if i have done something wrong, i am waiting on the outcome of my WCA and i'm worried they are going to mess up the payments and the date my assessment periods go from because of these notes and if i've done something wrong. I do also claim UC who have accepted all fit notes i've provided on the exact same day as i submitted them to ESA.

Everything sounds fine with your fit notes. The only way to find out what’s happened is to ring them. They can make a same day fast payment.

thanks poppy, i called them and they said it was a glitch and sent a faster payment to me. my sick note runs out tomorrow and i contacted my gp today to ask for a new note and it looks like theyve given me a phone appointment on monday evening to discuss, is it going t obe an issue if i submit the sick note on the 10th/11th of june? will this impact my WCA if i am awarded LCRWA?

Make sure it’s dated from when your current one expired. I’d also advise asking for a longer fit note and then at least you won’t be bothering the GP as often. It must be very stressful asking for fit notes every few weeks.

yes it really is, i have asked for a longer than 2 week note in my request but its a random different doctor who is issuing them each time and some give me a month and others a week or two, im concerned they've made me an appointment before issuing this one, is it possible they can deny me the fit note? i'm worrying.

i've been waiting 8 weeks for my WCA outcome now, been a long time, really sick of the notes altogether now and having to go through my whole history with each dr who doesn't know me/my problems already.

Have you had the assessment yet? most people have those.

yes i had the assessment about 8 weeks ago, sorry, thats what i'm waiting on the outcome for :(
