Assessment

I have had my assessment, now waiting for the outcome. The only issue is my gp hasn't returned the factual form from pip yet. I am worried they won't wait for the form or do the descion makers always wait for the medical evidence if they themselves request it. It is all making my mental health worse

Heya @Marciatulips3 I totally understand the worry, but please try not to panic too much. The main part is you got your assessment done, that's usually where the decision is made. PIP is about how your disabilities affect each of the descriptors and is less about medical evidence sent in.

It is my first time applying and I am panicking. I can't sleep

I am relieved to have got the assessment out of the way though, the person was very nice but I am still very anxious

It's perfectly normal to feel this way. Everyone feels exactly the same, whether it's first time claim or a review of an existing claim.

Sorry you're still feeling so anxious @Marciatulips3, is there anything that helps take your mind off things for a while? Perhaps you could treat yourself to doing something you enjoy to try and distract your brain for a few hours. It can be a nerve wracking process, but I hope things start feeling easier soon. 😊

I am trying not to think about it but it's not easy! I have read that lots of people feel like me. Thank you for your help
