LCWRA - awarded.. when will my first payment me?

hello! I was awarded lcwra on Friday, though my journal. I’m wondering when my first payment would be?

I’ll explain the timeline now.

my Assesment period is 26th - 25th

I first notify uc on health condition on the 5th October 2023.

Health change

Effective from: 31 July 2023

[Removed by moderator - personal information] has a health condition that restricts their ability to work or look for work.

then on the 13th march -

Health change

Effective from: 5 October 2023

My sick was posted on 25th march -

Details on fit note

• Fit note end date: 26 April 2024
• Fit note accepted? Yes

then on the 26th April -

if this make any sense to anyone.. please enlighten on me when my first payment should be // back pay.

I can see you've used your full name here. Personal information isn't allowed on the forum to protect yourself. This is a public forum and anyone can see what you post.

I'm confused by your timeline.. You said you first notified them about your health condition on 5th October 2023. Then it says you also reported a health condition in July 2023.

Further on you then said your fit note was provided on 25th March 2024, although the date on it was 26th Feb 2024. Was this your first fit note? Or did you provided one when you first reported your health condition in July 2023?

Is this your first work capability assessment?

sorry I copied from my uc..

I was maternity so I only uploaded them when work requested one from me.. I was late updating them on uc as I was on full pay from work and not receiving any payments from uc only just created the account for tops up during my matnierty.

I’m new to uc, been writ them since August..

I was diagnosed with 4 mental illnesses in July but only put them on my journal on October but I put effective date July, as that was when I was diagnosed.

I was then medically terminated from work due to mental health so I submitted my health change again in march.. Which they put effective since October

All very confusing

@poppy123456 yes it was my first Assesment. It said on there -

Following your Work Capability Assessment, we have decided that you have limited capability to work and work - related activities

You didn't really answer the question on whether the fit note you provided on 25th March was your first one, so I'm going to assume it is because you didn't say otherwise.

Backdated fit notes aren't usually accepted when working out when the extra money is paid from, even though it was accepted at the time.

This means your waiting period will be March/April, April/May, May/June.. LCWRA starts from 26th June to 25th July and first payment will be 1st August. No LCWRA element is owed.

If you had provided a fit note earlier when you reported your health condition then your first payment would have been sooner.
