Migrating to UC on cont based ESA and enhanced PIP for both question about job centre appointment

As above, I get contributions based ESA and enhanced PIP for care and mobility. Migrating to UC from tax credits.

Went to job centre Saturday to show proof of ID also took proof of savings as asked but they didn’t want to see it. Now have another appointment for tomorrow to bring this in but I am too ill to go in on my own and my partner is working. I have written this on my journal but no reply, what can I do? Will they close the claim if I don’t go? If I call the job centre direct can they change the appointment? Surely if it’s only for savings proof my partner could take that in. Don’t they take into account that someone is ill/disabled when you start a claim?
I have also had a meeting arranged with a work coach even though they have said on my journal that my ESA will move over so what the point in seeing a work coach if they have agreed I’m too ill to work???
I have fibromyalgia and CFS among other things that cause chronic pain and I feel like they are testing whether I can make it in for the appointment which I can’t, the stress is making me even more ill.

Please help, what do I do? If they close the claim can I make a complaint? Would I lose transitional protection (only entitled to 12 months due to savings)

thanks

Your partner should be able to take it to your job centre on your behalf as it's a joint claim. Once your UC updates with the information from ESA your appointments with a work coach will be cancelled because your only commitments will be to agree to report all changes.

As you have capital of more than £16,000 do be aware that if that capital drops below that amount and then goes back above it, your UC will then end, even if it's before the 12 months.

thanks for your reply, I have just called to uc helpline to change the appointment to next Saturday and put a note on my journal asking if my partner can go on my behalf, it was surprisingly easy to get through!
The work coach appointment is two weeks away but hopefully it will all update by then and it will disappear.
Do you have any idea how long it is taking them to update UC about ESA at the moment?
    thanks

It can be anything up to a few weeks for ESA to send your details across to them. You would think it would be automatic with managed migration but unfortunately, it's just the same as natural migration.

I have received another appointment this morning to go in for 1st commitments which has been moved forward by over a week and again booked for during the week when my partner is working so I can’t go. Do I need to attend the 1st commitments meeting if Cont based ESA support group is transferring over ? Thanks for your help
