Sdp question.
Hi all :) someone from dwp called yesterday i was told my pip claim was looked at in the MM ruling court case for social support they told me I should of been getting enhanced daily and I was due quite a big back pay! Shocked to be honest however I feel happy that I've now been awarded fairly. My decision went all the way back to 2017 so it's quite a substantial amount as this also includes another assesment in 2021 which again they didnt follow the law. My question is I live alone with nobody caring for me and l'm also in esa support group for many years and get disability premiums However now I'm on enhanced pip will I now get higher disability premium? And would they backdate it from 2017? Any answers would be great. Thanks in advance for any answers. am apprehensive about calling them as my anxiety is horrific.

There’s no difference in the disability premium amounts regardless of what daily living PIP award you have. SDP is paid with any rate of daily living PIP. There would be no changes to your ESA.

I get 2 premiums currently and should be also getting enhanced premium due to the new pip award of enhanced daily from standard just looked it up and I'm due backpay for it

Yes the 2 disability premiums you will be receiving are Enhanced and Severe Disability. The other disability premium isn’t payable when claiming ESA. It’s only payable when claiming Income Support or Income Related JSA.
Please note that the Enhanced Disability Premium is known as Disability Income Guarantee in ESA letters, which is why you’re probably confused.
EDP is £20.85/week
SDP is £81.50/week
As I advised, there will be no changes to your ESA with the increased daily living award.

I think this is what you’re seeing..and you think you’re claiming the disability premium of £42.50/week but you’re not.
What you'll getYou can get the disability premium on its own. You might get the severe or enhanced disability premium as well if you’re eligible for them.
If you get income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) you cannot get the disability premium, but you may still qualify for the severe and enhanced premiums.
