There are no timescales for decisions on paper based hearings. However, are you aware that paper based hearings always have a very low success rate.
Either appearing in person or telephone/video hearing have the best success rate.

Would it be better to start another claim ?

No, definitely not. If you do this then it will only be paid from the date you started your 2nd claim. You can contact HMCTS and change the paper based hearing for telephone/video or face to face.

Excellent news @anney82
What was the tribunal like? I've heard and read about PIP tribunals but not about Attendance Allowance tribunals

Just hope they don’t keep me waiting too long .I had a paper tribunal so didn’t attend .I just chanced that my paperwork would win the day and it did . i’m still on tenterhooks just worried they will look for grounds to appeal to upper tribunal . This is going to make so much difference and I can get the help I need

Just received a form DBD 545 asking for details of hospital stays etc and bank details which i had already given over the phone . Already 2 weeks so probably another 2 weeks .this is holding up changes to my home . says they will write to me again after they receive this form . all the details were given on the phone but hey ho nothing comes easy .Spoke to someone this morning very patronising . Told him my body may be giving up but my brain is fine thank you . Get fed up sometimes with being spoken too as if i’m stupid lol .

The form pay have been sent before you spoke to them on the phone. It’s not usual for it to take up to 8 weeks after a Tribunal win to pay what is owed and put the award into payment. Hopefully not too much longer.
