Salary counted as savings or capital

Morning
Can you tell me if my wage is counted as saving or capital. As i dont have a savings account my wage my u.c and child benefit all go into same account which can lead to it being over 6000 on some months
Thanks

If it goes over 6000 and then back under in the same billing period then I think you can disregard it
So if you start and end the month under 6000 then you don't need to worry
When I say "month" I mean the period that UC uses to assess you, not calendar month
I hope this makes sense and that someone else can come along and confirm

Are things like universal credit and child benefit counted if it stays over at the end of the month

Your earnings are treated as earnings in the assessment period in which you receive them. Any earnings/UC and child benefit you have left at the end of following assessment period in which they were paid will be treated as capital.
