PIP application. No medical history.
Hello,
I wanted to ask if anyone has applied for PIP with no medical history. I am struggling with my mental health and mobility (obesity) but I have no medical records to show any of that - I don't and haven't in the past really attended GP at all. It feels like it would all be very anecdotal based on my and my family who support me testimonials. Is it enough though?

Good morning @TechTigre and a warm welcome to the community. 😊
Is your GP aware that you're struggling with your mental health?
Lots of people do successfully claim PIP without medical evidence. Try and make sure your anecdotal evidence is sufficiently detailed with examples rather than just assertions.
For example, an assertion might be "I can't dress myself without help because of my mental health so I need prompting to do it", but when you add in examples you'd detail the sort of help you receive, be that physically dressing you, reminders and prompting, help selecting appropriate clothes and so on, how often you need help and what happens if you don't have the help (try and give a couple of detailed examples of when it's happened and the impact of it).
Best of luck with your claim and please ask if you have any more questions.
