getting child dla backdated on UC

Hi guys, i applied for child dla for my son back in September last year, it was refused but on appeal it was awarded. i had the money backdated and have had his frist payment last week.=

as soon as i knew hed been awarded i put on my UC journal (14th July) so nearly a month ago. they said they have added the disabled child element but no mention of the back payment from them , only that its gone to a decision maker .

have any of you gone through this, maybe im being impatient i just have no idea of the time scale.

any help would be great

I think you mean 14th June because it’s only 12th July today.

Money owed is always paid separately to your usual monthly money and often takes several weeks to pay it. Going to a decision maker is correct because they are the ones that make the decision on what assessment period it starts from.

Once your statements are recalculated you will receive a letter on your journal telling you how much is owed and it will be paid into your bank.
