Hi,
Am I right in thinking winning a small amount of compensation for a personal injury would not impact ESA CB or PIP. If this injury is not related to why I am claiming these benefits?
many thanks ☺️

I agree with your thinking.

If your ESA is indeed contributions-based then it should not be effected by the lump sum. PIP will not be affected at all as it is not means-tested in anyway. Do you receive any other benefits?

Hi,
Yes definitely CB ESA I don’t receive anything else other than PIP and Child benefits. It’s is not a large lump sum.

Hi @Butterfliess. It shouldn't affect your ESA then and it won't affect PIP or Child Benefit either. So you should be fine 😊 I hope your injury wasn't too severe and you're recovering well.
