Loss of car still paying full car tax
Hi, I've recently had my car clamped and now had to sorn for not having car tax as it was cancelled when i was unfortunelty victim of a scam( which i lost a significant amount). Even though I have been paying car tax since 2021. In October 2023 I was unable to pay the full amount of £20- but then discovered, as I recieve PIP lower mobility I'm entitled to a 50 percent discount. Over that time I was struggling with getting the right forms and being able to pay for a new logbook. Fast forward to January and my car was needing and MOT, this further delayed my ability to set up the new car tax. Finally in march I was able to pass an MOT. But still had no car tax. Because of the stress and my poor mental state I was unable to acquire the correct forms and eventually my car was clamped and impounded. I now have a 500 pound debt I'm struggling to pay and on top of that a 244 pound fine that I have to pay or I risk having my belongings taken by the bailiffs. I'm struggling to get through to the DVLA because of the automation and my extreme anxiety. I don't have any friends or family to help so this is a last resort. Have struggled with not having a car as I have a very bad spinal injury.
