hi I get high rate mobility on pip and have applied for a bus pass does anyone know if you have to attend an assessment for this as I have read somewhere else this is a requirement the pip assessment was bad enough to get to get through and this is making my anxiety go through the roof

I don’t know which council you are under, but mine just required an up to date letter of my PIP award and they issued it without any fuss. I live in Torbay.

If you automatically qualify then you won't need an assessment. Also, if you live in England then a mobility award of PIP doesn't always automatically qualify you, you will need to look at their qualifying criteria.

All local councils have varying criteria, but some of those give automatic acceptance which means no assessment.
