PIP REVIEW TEXT MESSAGE

hi everyone hope you are all well!

I sent my pip review form back last month and then received this text..

Hello from independent assessment services we conduct PIP Assessments for Department for Work and Pensions. This is for information purposes only, to let you know that we are managing your PIP assessment. We will look at the available evidence and will contact you with an appointment if we need to have a consultation with you.

It has sent my anxiety through the roof 😩 worrying about loosing my pip or them wanting a face to face assessment.

Has anyone else experienced the same text? If so what outcome did you have please 🙏

TIA Annie ♥️

    Hi @anniej9464, this is a pretty standard text! You can request an over the phone assessment by the way. Say so when they contact you to book the appointment.

    This is the first time I read someone to have this response, just a month after they send the form back. Is this a new thing? They choose some applicants to fast-review them? If so, who?

    @anniej9464

    If you don't mind me asking, how long was your award for?

    I have now had another text from them saying (You've asked us to look at our recent PIP decision again. We will write to you once we've done this. As a guide you should hear from us within 15 weeks. You don't need to contact us unless any of the details you gave have changed. Thank you.)

    Although I haven't asked them to look at a recent decision, as I haven't yet had a decision. I'm so confused and stressed out 😩

    I first replied for no pip in sep2021 and was awarded it in july2022 and was told to expect a review around Dec 2023, although the letter said I got awarded it until December 2024.. I'm so confused and I can't help worrying.

    Thanks for all your comments:)

    Xx

    I will mention, I had an issue with Access To Work where the DWP mixed up my record with someone else (we shared the same first and last names). It is possible this is the case this time, but you must call up to get this resolved as soon as possible
