Light touch
I have a 10 year light touch pip award in 2017. Anyone had a light touch review yet?
Thanks

Hi @merseylass. Sorry you didn't receive a response. Did you manage to find anyone that had had a review?

I’ve just had a light touch PIP review having reached 66 in August. I just received a letter yesterday saying I would next be reviewed in 2030. I was awarded PIP in 2021 but it was backdated to 2020 as I was awarded after a tribunal hearing in 2021.

Hi thanks
Did you have to fill any forms in or see anyone?
If so how was it?
Thank you

Was it the AR1 form you received or the AR2? (shorter form than AR1) Only the AR2 is light touch. If it was AR1 then it would have been a normal review but you may have had a paper based assessment.

I may have got the wrong end of the stick so to speak. I didn’t fill out a form and was sent a letter saying my claim had been extended indefinitely with a review in 2030. This was because I’m getting state pension.

Ah yes, that's not a light touch review. They just automatically extended your award for 10 years, which is great news for you.
Just for clarity for other people reading this when you do reach state pension age, they don't always automatically extend the award for 10 years. The majority of the time a review is still needed.

I received my original renewed award in 2017 after stare pension age. So my first light touch is 2027.
Is that what you mean?
Thanks
