If I loose my sons disabled child element on my UC will it effect my transitional protection eg be a significant change?.

This will not end your TP, unless there would be no entitlement to UC due to the removal of the disabled child element.

sorry not sure what you mean, my son is 11yrs and I get lwcra and have received my migration letter. When his award ens I will have moved to UC.

I inferred from the information you gave in your first comment that you were already claiming UC. If he's still claiming a disability benefit when you migrate across then the disabled child element will be included.
If his disability benefit stops once you've moved across this will not affect your TP.
