Carers element
Hello, I’ve recently applied for Carers element after receiving a successful claim for carers allowance. I’m just wondering if the carers element shows on my monthly statements on UC?
It’s been around 4 weeks since I applied for the element through UC and my recent statement is not showing anything about carers element. Sorry I’m quite new to UC and carers so forgive me if I’m not very well informed.

Yes it will show as carers element, which is £198.31/month.
Please note, you will not be entitled to this element if you’re claiming the LCWRA element for yourself because both elements can’t be paid to the same person.

Thank you for you’re reply, very much appreciated. I don’t claim LCWRA. I was just wondering if I need to contact them or if it usually takes awhile to come though and if it would be back dated or not?
thank you very much once again.0 -
When you claimed it did you actually "report a change of circumstances" and then click "caring for someone" and report it this way? If you did then put a message onto your journal under the payment section and tell them that the carers element wasn't included despite claiming it.

I have applied through the journal around 4 weeks ago. I’ll put a message in the journal again to ask, its very rare I get a reply though I must admit.
