hi i am so confused and need help please! I have been on long term sickness from work due to my Fibromyalgia & Chronic fatigue and also an injury at work that has also impacted on my job role and now unable to do that particular role confirmed by occ health.

When i went off sick i applied for ESA and handed my fit notes in etc and completed all forms as requested. I completed an assessment with ESA and i have been placed in the support group contribution based for ESA and receiving payments.

Im not sure if i have missed something but keep reading that you only get esa when your Ssp runs out which work have said 1st October and still receiving my salary which is moving to half pay shortly. I dont understand if i should not be getting any money and why ESA are paying me as i have always declared and informed them that i am on Long term sick.

Also i have a meeting at work to discuss being placed on the at risk register for 3 months to try and find an alternative role that suits my condition but i am unable to manage this due to pain and mobility and i would receive full pay for that period of time and if i decline i would be expected to resign.

I have never kept anything from ESA and do not know what to do.

Please help

New style ESA can't be paid at the same time as SSP. When you claimed ESA you should have also sent your SSP1 form, did you send that?

Are you 100% sure that your earnings include SSP? What does it say on your pay slips?

Hey there @Sausages1973 and welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear about all the confusion, they often don't make things clear. I can see Poppy is already helping you, but I just wanted to stop in and say a quick hi. 😊

You need to contact ESA and tell them.
