Hello to all,

I had my tribunal cancelled on the day by the court,as a tribunal member was unable to attend.I have just logged on to my tribunal status and a new hearing date has been logged.I am pleased now I have a new date, but at the same time terribly anxious.I know everyone feels this way,its been 15 month journey, any advice would be grateful.its booked for the 3rd week in October.

Thankyou

Heya @Charlie5 I totally understand how you're feeling right now, I've had three tribunals so far and I was terrified before the first two. But I can honestly say they're nothing to panic about. The tribunal were all super supportive and seemed to genuinely care, it was certainly a breath of fresh air after the original assessments. Just take your time, don't be scared to ask for breaks and if you don't understand a question, it's fine to ask for them to rephrase it. I'll keep everything crossed for you! 😊

Thankyou for your message, very kind of you.Do you mind me asking did you win your first 2 tribunals?,and how many points did you receive at your assessment?.DWP scorced me 4 points at my assesment.I am anxious but I will take your advice on board.Just be glad really when its all over, whatever way it goes,as its been very stressfull and draining.

    Thankyou again.

Not a problem at all @Charlie5 always happy to help. 😊

First tribunal started me with 0 points from the DWP, tribunal awarded me 21 points.
Second tribunal started me with 3 points from the DWP and the tribunal scored me 24 points.

So tribunals are definitely worth going through, but I totally get how draining it is mentally. So please be gentle with yourself, you're nearly there! Will you let us know how you get on please?

I really hope it goes well for you. I’ve had one tribunal and they were lovely. The second was cancelled due to lack of time and I’m currently waiting on my third. Keep us posted and good luck! Xxx

Hi, the adjourned it with a new date and said I should provide further medical evidence as they hadn’t had such a big difference between what the DWP were saying and what the health advisor said. The second was cancelled and as I was waiting for the next one I got notified that DWP had changed their mind to award me standard daily living and enhanced mobility. Obviously I was over the moon but was told to still appeal as I had nothing to lose. That case manager was clearly telling fibs as I lost enhanced mobility when the DWP looked at my claim again. It’s still under appeal so I’m still waiting. I also have a complaint in as apparently I was supposed to be given a health warning before appealing again but I wasn’t and funnily enough the DWP don’t have the recording of it as the call seems to have stopped recording when I was transferred.

So now I’m waiting on the next appeal which is frustrating as I had ordered a mobility car which is due next month and doesn’t look like I’ll be getting it unless the appeal goes in my favour.

However, the panel I did meet were absolutely lovely. They are there to help and listen to you. It shouldn’t feel like an interrogation like it does with the DWP sometimes xxx

Ahh thankyou, sounds like quite a ordeal you have been through, and sorry to hear that.My first tribunal was cancelled on the day,as due to one of the tribunal panel was involved in a traffic accident, which of course could not be helped, but on the day I was mentally hyped up for it to be done and dusted but alas no.The court warden phoned me in plenty of time though as I had not left home to go there.

Anyway thankyou again for your message, hopefuly you will hear of your new tribunal date soon, and in time you WILL get your mobility car.Take care
