Hi there
You know how they R supposed to be giving vouchers instead of pip payments can I get a mobility scooter through the pip scheme still
As I feel I need one at the moment as so much pain instead of walking just makes me feel worse off.
I think it would help with my breathlessness 2
Where do I find out about this please
Is it the disability website.

Morning. I rent a mobility scooter from Mobility Giant. They have a lot of different makes and types of scooters. Their phone number is 0800 688 1170. My present scooter costs me £**** a month. The cost includes insurance, maintenance and breakdown cover. Go on the website and see what they offer. I’m a satisfied customer and can’t speak highly enough of their customer service. They provide scooters for the Motability contract.

They haven't formally announced that it will be vouchers instead of payments. For this reason no one knows what may or may not happen. All we have a far too much speculation.

Thankyou I will phone them on Monday to see what they offer.
Thanks again.

What rates of PIP were you awarded @amazingblazing628? That can determine eligibility for the motability scheme.
And regarding PIP becoming vouchers. The only reason this is even a thing that is being talked about is because it was briefly brought up by Mel Stride of the previous conservative government as a thing to consider. There has been no suggestion that it is something actually being taken seriously.
