High phoned l.w.r.c.a about my back pay and they told me to put it on my journal which I did and all I got back was that I.w.r.c.a is a payment for people who do not have a limited period for work and as I don't fit in to this category . I have a 12 week and 5 days assessment period which I must serve . Although I've been awarded it for 16 months . Can somebody explain what it means please .As I'm so confused . Any answers I would be so grateful for.

We will need some more information to help:

The date you handed in your Fit Note

Were there any gaps in your Fit Notes?

The date you were awarded LCWRA

    Your assessment period dates.

LCWRA has a waiting time of three full assessment periods, during which no money is paid. This can mean (depending on the dates) that no backpay is owed.

    The award length is irrelevant.

You haven't answered any of the rest Kimmy87's questions. The correct advice can't be given without all the information.

The 2 other questions needing answered are as follows..

What date does your assessment periods cover, or what date do you usually receive your money each month?

Did you continue to provide fit notes without any gaps until a decision was made?

You can also check your journal to see exactly when you provided that first fit note.

I see you've posted another thread with some extra information here.

Based on the information you gave in that thread your waiting period will be April to July… LCWRA starts from 29th July to 28th August and first payment would be 4th September. This means no LCWRA element is owed.

If you or a partner were receiving earnings since you provided your first fit note and you didn't previously have the work allowance you'll be owed some money from that. Otherwise no money is owed.
