Pip mandatory consideration

Hello everyone, I'm just asking for some help on pip mandatory consideration, my deadline of 1 month is coming up in the next couple of days but I haven't had confirmation by text or anything so say that they have received it, I did this by post 1 and a half weeks ago. Is there any advice of what would happen? Would it be registered or would I be out of time if I don't hear anything?

It's just this is my second time trying to apply for pip, I tired a year ago and called up about mandatory reconsideration and the person on the phone automatically submitted it for me and when I said not to they said they already pushed the button when I just thought we was having a conversation and my claim was refused, i never went to tribunal so I am abit sceptical to call as I've put alot of information into my written reconsideration letter so I don't want that to be overlooked

So I'm just not sure if it will be registered, i have dated all the letters and sent with proof of postage or would it be recommended that i shall call before the deadline?

Thank youx

You have 13 months to request the MR and not 1 month like they advise you. It's not unusual for it to take a couple of weeks for them to receive the letter you sent. If you gave them a mobile number they sometimes send a text once they receive the MR letter. If they receive it after the 1 month and they refuse you can just proceed straight to Tribunal.

Once they receive it a decision can take up to about 15 weeks. The most likely outcome of the MR is the decision won't change as most don't. If this happens you can proceed to Tribunal which I'd advise you to do because about 70% of people have a decision in their favour at that stage.

Thank you so much for your response, I will leave it for now then and hopefully I will have a confirmation soon, I hope they dont refuse it but if they do the option of still being able to go to a tribunal is reassuring in some way, thanks poppyx
